Chanchai Jhongsathit is a consultant in Tilleke & Gibbins’ corporate and commercial group in Bangkok. He provides assistance to associates and partners in advising both international and local clients on a diverse range of corporate matters, including corporate services, company registration, capital markets and IPOs, e-payment systems, data protection, application for business permits and licenses. He also advises on foreign investment matters, such as applying for foreign business licenses and investment promotion privileges from the Thailand’s Board of Investment.
Chanchai graduated with an LLB from Thammasat University’s International Business Law program. He is an active member of the Thammsat Law Association and has been appointed sub-commissioner of several important committees. He is a native Thai, Mandarin, and Hokkien Chinese speaker, and is fluent in English.
Advised and assisted international clients in establishing companies in Thailand, including representative offices and branch offices, under foreign investment laws.
Provided a legal memorandum to a client on regulations of the Securities Exchange Commission of Thailand (SEC) relating to a proposed employee stock option plan in which a foreign company would offer stocks to employees in Thailand.
Advised an international financial company on anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing regulations in Thailand.
Assisted and advised a foreign company on its application for investment promotion privileges from the BOI, and on corresponding business incorporation in Thailand.
Advised an innovative foreign corporation on law and restrictions concerning importation of hazardous substances into Thailand for the manufacture of environmental chemical products.
