The recently released 2024 edition of Chambers Asia-Pacific gives Tilleke & Gibbins high marks across all of the firm’s jurisdictions in Southeast Asia. In addition to the practice-area rankings, individual practitioners from the firm’s offices across the region received a record total of 35 individual rankings.
Asian Legal Business has released their Top 15 Southeast Asia Litigators 2024 list, which includes senior litigator Thawat Damsa-ard, a partner in the Tilleke & Gibbins’ dispute resolution department in Bangkok. This is the third consecutive year that Thawat has been honored with a spot on the list of top litigators across the region, and he is only one of two litigators from Thailand included in the list. The accolade recognizes his outstanding performance in the courtroom, his ability to secure favorable results for his clients in high-stakes disputes, and his remarkable efforts to support professional ethics and development in the Thai legal profession. The 2024 edition of Asia Super 50 TMT Lawyers from Asian Legal Business (ALB) magazine includes Athistha (Nop) Chitranukroh, partner and director of Tilleke & Gibbins’ corporate and commercial department in Bangkok. This marks Nop’s second consecutive appearance on the annual Asia Super 50 TMT Lawyers list. Asia Business Law Journal has released its annual A-List of Vietnam’s Top 100 Lawyers for 2024, featuring four lawyers from Tilleke & Gibbins’ Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City offices: Kien Trung Trinh Linh Thi Mai Nguyen Loc Xuan Le Trung Nguyen As outlined in the magazine’s accompanying editorial report, the A-List rankings are “the result of extensive research and nominations from in-house counsel primarily in Vietnam, but also Vietnam-focused partners with international law firms.” The report further notes, “Comments submitted to Asia Business Law Journal by clients underscore their preference for seasoned lawyers who consistently uphold the highest ethical standards and maintain professionalism and enthusiasm in their interactions.” Published by Vantage Asia, Asia Business Law Journal is an online and print magazine dedicated to the Asia-Pacific legal market. World Trademark Review has released the 2024 edition of the WTR 1000, its annual rankings of the leading trademark lawyers around the world. Tilleke & Gibbins’ regional intellectual property team showed another stellar performance this year, building on the firm’s reputation as a regional powerhouse for trademark-related matters in Southeast Asia. In the 2024 rankings, the firm’s offices in Thailand and Vietnam have retained their top-tier Gold Band rankings, while the Indonesia office achieved a Silver Band ranking in the Prosecution and Strategy category and a Bronze Band ranking in the Enforcement and Litigation category. In the Cambodia rankings, Tilleke & Gibbins was placed in the top tier (Highly Recommended), while the firm’s Yangon office again appeared in the single-tier Myanmar rankings.
