The shortlist for the Asia Legal Awards 2023 from Law.com International has been released in full, and Tilleke & Gibbins has secured nominations in four core categories. The firm has been shortlisted for: Southeast Asia Firm of the Year Intellectual Property Firm of the Year (Asia-wide) Litigation Firm of the Year (Asia-wide) Technology, Media, and Telecommunications Firm of the Year (Asia-wide) Law.com International bills the Asia Legal Awards as “the most renowned ceremony for the legal elite” in Asia. Asia Business Law Journal has released its annual A-List of Vietnam’s Top 100 Lawyers for 2023. Treutler Trung Nguyen Asia Business Law Journal is a leading legal magazine for the Asia-Pacific region published by Vantage Asia. International Employment Lawyer has released the inaugural IEL Elite list celebrating excellence in employment law, and Tilleke & Gibbins is identified as a “first-class regional team” in Asia-Pacific. The IEL Elite list recognizes some 100 firms worldwide with top-performing employment law practices in the last 12 months. Firms included in the list are identified as international, regional, or practicing in a particular jurisdiction. Tilleke & Gibbins was given a regional listing, with offices in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam recommended for their superior employment law services. Alan, who also leads the firm’s regional life sciences practice, is regularly recognized in IAM Strategy 300 as one of the world’s top advisors in strategic IP management and commercialization. Darani Vachanavuttivong, managing partner of Tilleke & Gibbins and managing director of the firm’s intellectual property department, was included in the recently released “Asia Top 15 IP Lawyers 2022” from Asian Legal Business (ALB). This is her second year on the list, after she was named to its inaugural edition in 2021. The list recognizes the top 15 intellectual property lawyers in private practice across all of Asia, as demonstrated by the strength of their legal work and feedback from clients, industry colleagues, and other commentators. Managing IP magazine has released their 2022 list of Rising Stars, and the new edition of the rankings includes two Tilleke & Gibbins intellectual property attorneys: Ploynapa Julagasigorn, a senior associate in the firm’s Bangkok office, and Sokmean Chea, an associate in the Phnom Penh office. Ploynapa is one of only six rising stars listed for Thailand, and Sokmean is one of only two in Cambodia. The rankings are a high-profile reflection of Tilleke & Gibbins’ depth in intellectual property practice across the region. In the Asia M&A Rankings 2022 announced recently by Asian Legal Business, T&G has kept its solid performance in the rankings with Tier 2 recognitions in both Thailand and Vietnam.
