The concept of corporate criminal liability was introduced into Vietnamese law under the Penal Code of 2015, which took effect in 2018. Under the 2015 Penal Code, for the first time, corporate entities (companies) could be held criminally liable for a variety of offenses, including certain intellectual property crimes under Articles 225 and 226.

On March 13, 2020, the Revenue Department of Thailand issued Notification of the Director General of Revenue Concerning Income Tax (No. 369) Re: Criteria, Methods and Conditions for Income Tax Exemption on the Purchase of Investment Units of Super Savings Funds (SSFs).The tax incentives for investment in SSFs are intended as a substitute for the tax incentives for investment in Long-Term Equity Funds (LTFs), which were discontinued at the end of last year. On March 1, 2020, the government of Vietnam issued Decree No. 27/2020/ND-CP amending and supplementing two decrees in the field of science and technology, including Decree No. 87/2014/ND-CP on attracting overseas Vietnamese and foreign experts to participate in scientific and technological activities in Vietnam. Decree 27 will take effect on April 15, 2020.
