Experience

  • Assisted a renowned Thai client in the food and beverage industry in attaining a favorable judgment from the Thai Labor Court against former employees for breach of a non-competition clause in their employment agreements. The Court granted a favorable amount of compensation to our client and ordered the individuals to resign from a competitor’s company.
  • Represented an international specialty chemicals and equipment company in negotiations with an employee and reached favorable terms through an amicable separation agreement, saving our client a significant amount in potential severance and benefits payments.
  • Assisting a private client in a complex cross-border family dispute at the Thai Family Court. The dispute involves a contested divorce and the validity of a prenuptial agreement under Thai law. Notably, the opposing party has also initiated parallel proceedings in a foreign country.
  • Advised a private client in a probate case related to a deceased individual of foreign nationality with estate assets in Thailand. We also represented the heirs of the deceased in dealing with creditors that filed a civil claim against the deceased for outstanding debts before the filing of the probate proceedings.
  • Represented a client in a cross-border dispute at the IP&IT Court concerning debt collection and issues of validity of the assignment of rights to a portion of debt repayments by a creditor to an agent bank, pursuant to a complex international loan agreement.
