Tiziana Sucharitkul Discusses Firm’s Lex Mundi Membership with Asian Legal Business

Asian Legal Business

Tiziana Sucharitkul, co-managing partner and director of the Tilleke & Gibbins’ dispute resolution group, was recently interviewed for an Asian Legal Business  article on the many benefits legal networks offer to law firms. The article appeared in the March 2020 issue of the magazine, and Tiziana is quoted extensively regarding Tilleke & Gibbins’ longtime membership in Lex Mundi, the world’s leading network of independent law firms.

The article notes that Tilleke & Gibbins was a founding member of the network in 1989, and Tiziana explains that, at that time, globalization was picking up speed, and through partnering with Lex Mundi the firm was able to serve a growing client base of multinational companies that were looking to invest in Southeast Asia. Part of what drew Tilleke & Gibbins to choose Lex Mundi is the network’s careful vetting of member firms, meaning that lawyers referring work to other jurisdictions could be confident that their clients will be working with another top-tier law firm.

Tiziana also pointed out that the Lex Mundi network outperforms international firms, raising the example of a matter where advice was being sought in far-flung countries on four different continents. While no global firm was able to offer advice in all of the countries, Lex Mundi had member firms in each jurisdiction and could thus put forward a seamless, unified proposal.
