Tilleke & Gibbins Thailand and Vietnam Offices Featured in MIP Handbook

Managing Intellectual Property

In the 2012 edition of the MIP Handbook, published by Managing Intellectual Property, the Tilleke & Gibbins team in Thailand has received Tier 1 rankings for all areas of intellectual property covered by the publication, namely, patent contentious, patent prosecution, trademark contentious, and trademark prosecution, while the Vietnam IP group has also received Tier 1 rankings for patent prosecution and trademark prosecution. Notably, Tilleke & Gibbins was also named IP Firm of the Year by Managing Intellectual Property in Vietnam in March 2012.

In addition, the handbook provides editorial coverage on the firm’s commendations and high-profile client work. The Thai office is recognized for its “practical advice” and “exceptionally good” approach and perspective when advising clients. The handbook also lauds Darani Vachanavuttivong, co-managing partner and managing director of the intellectual property team, for her experience, involvement, and specific mentions by her peers. The firm’s Vietnam team too receives plaudits by clients for Nga Thi Phi Nguyen’s work and being “responsive and [having] good foresight on the needs of clients,” and for its growing success in recent years.
