Tilleke & Gibbins Ranked as a “Gold” Trademark Firm in Thailand by WTR 1000

World Trademark Review

For the third consecutive year, Tilleke & Gibbins has been ranked as a “Gold Band” firm in Thailand by the World Trademark Review 1000 – The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals.

The publication commended the firm for its “experienced, cost-effective, and successful” team and its involvement in some of the region’s “most high-stakes enforcement briefs.” Recognizing the depth of the firm’s team, the WTR 1000 also individually ranked four Tilleke & Gibbins partners. This was an outstanding result, as no other firm in the Thai market received more than two individual recognitions. By dividing lawyers’ expertise across the separate categories of (1) enforcement and litigation and (2) prosecution and strategy, the editorial singled out the following partners:

  • Darani Vachanavuttivong, described by a client as “immensely industrious, a delight to deal with and runs a very tight ship,” was listed in the Gold Band for both enforcement and litigation and prosecution and strategy, making her the only practitioner in Thailand to be recognized at the top of the market in both fields.
  • Alan Adcock, who was listed in the Silver Band for both categories, was said to offer “exceptional advice, a collaborative approach and a profound appreciation of business needs.”
  • Nandana Indananda was recognized in the enforcement and litigation category for his important role in the firm’s contentious matters.
  • Srila Thongklang was also ranked for enforcement and litigation, as a leading player in IP litigation in the Thai market.

The WTR 1000 rankings are based on extensive research in the area of trademarks, placing high importance on a law firm’s ability to develop and implement brand strategies for clients locally and globally and successfully protect them in cases of infringement. World Trademark Review conducted telephone interviews and exchanged correspondence, over four months, with hundreds of lawyers, clients, and other practitioners. In listing law firms, they looked at the depth of expertise, market presence, outstanding partners, and the level of work typically instructed. The selected firms were split into “Gold,” “Silver,” and “Bronze” bands based upon reputation, time in service, high-profile work, and comments from experts in the field.
