Tilleke & Gibbins has been named Thailand Law Firm of the Year 2014 by Chambers Asia-Pacific. The award was announced at Chambers Asia-Pacific’s annual Awards for Excellence ceremony, which was held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong on February 17. Kobkit Thienpreecha, a Partner in Tilleke & Gibbins’ Corporate and Commercial Department, attended the event to represent our firm and accept the award.

The Chambers Asia-Pacific Awards recognize the work of national and international law firms across the region, with market overviews and rankings based on investigations carried out by more than 140 researchers. The rankings relate to the practices areas within each firm and the qualities of their lawyers. Among the factors used to determine the rankings were interviews conducted with clients and an assessment of recent work completed. Four other law firms were shortlisted for the Thailand Law Firm of the Year Award.

“Unanimously acclaimed for its intellectual property group, Tilleke & Gibbins has also made significant advancements in other areas of practice,” wrote the publication’s editorial. “The practice continues to develop significantly in the Southeast Asian region, and in the past year established offices in Myanmar, Laos, and Indonesia.”
