Tilleke & Gibbins Advisors Speak at Transparency International and CWEA Workshop

On June 20, 2018, advisors from Tilleke & Gibbins’ Phnom Penh office will join representatives from Transparency International and the Cambodia Women Entrepreneurs Association (CWEA) to present a workshop on intellectual property law to CWEA members. Chandavya Ing, Sokmean Chea, and Sophea Sin, advisors in Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property and corporate and commercial groups, will provide the attendees with a thorough grounding in intellectual property law, focusing on how their businesses can benefit from proper understanding and use of intellectual property protections.

The workshop, entitled “Introduction to Business law: Intellectual Property” is part of a series of events held by Transparency International and the CWEA to promote understanding of legal compliance among CWEA members and build their capacity to better understand the legal issues that their businesses may face. The event will take place at the Sunway Hotel Phnom Penh from 8.00am to 11.30am, and is open to CWEA members by invitation only.

In its recently released 2019 IP world survey, Managing Intellectual Property  (MIP ) named eight Tilleke & Gibbins lawyers as “IP Stars” in Thailand and Vietnam. The IP Stars honors are reserved for the top global practitioners working in the fields of patents and trademarks. They are selected based on client and peer recommendations in their jurisdiction, with only the most commended practitioners being listed in the final results of the annual survey. All eight Tilleke & Gibbins 2019 IP Stars are repeat recipients of this honor.
