The Franco-Thai, Thai-Italian, Belgian-Luxembourg-Thai, and Netherlands-Thai Chambers of Commerce are jointly hosting a seminar, “Floods: Are You Ready? Legal Aspects of the Floods 2011 and What You Need to Know to Prepare Yourself.” The seminar will take place on September 13, 2012, at the Sofitel hotel in Bangkok. The seminar will consist of presentations on several topics, including insurance issues, government subsidies, and tax relief.
This month’s issue of Asian Legal Business (ALB) focuses on the Women in Law Forum (in May), discussing the barriers to career progression that women have faced in Asia. Despite the region’s rapid economic growth and increasing number of highly qualified women, evidence shows that there are few women in top positions in law firms.
