Thawat Damsa-ard to Present Webinar on COVID-19 Debt Collection Options for Thai Companies

On April 16, 2020, Thawat Damsa-ard, partner in Tilleke & Gibbins’ dispute resolution group in Bangkok and Thailand’s leading asset recovery lawyer according to Who’s Who Legal, will present a webinar hosted jointly by Tilleke & Gibbins and the Thai Listed Companies Association (TLCA). The webinar, entitled “Debt Collection Options during and after the COVID-19 Pandemic,” will explain the rights of creditors and debtors under various contracts, and discuss what both creditors and debtors can do to uphold their obligations and enforce their rights throughout and following the COVID-19 outbreak.

This webinar is the second episode in a series of sessions planned in collaboration with the TLCA to help listed and non-listed Thai companies navigate legal complexities and business disruption caused by COVID-19. Nandana Indananda, a partner in Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property practice, was interviewed by the Thai Post for their recent article about the ASEAN Law Association (ALA) Governing Council Meeting, which took place on November 21–22 in Phuket. Nandana, who is also vice president of the Lawyer’s Council of Thailand’s (LCT) subcommittee on foreign affairs, was joined at the event by Waralee Sripawadkul, attorney-at-law in the firm’s intellectual property group.
