Darani Vachanavuttivong to Speak on Injunctive Relief at ASEAN IPA 2012 Conference

ASEAN Intellectual Property Association

Darani Vachanavuttivong, Co-Managing Partner and Managing Director of the Tilleke & Gibbins IP group, will participate in a panel at the upcoming ASEAN Intellectual Property Association 2012 Annual Conference on March 16 to 18 in Bali, Indonesia. Darani will join the panel discussion on the topic of “Injunctive Relief,” which is a part of the event’s “Law Enforcement and Intellectual Property Rights” program.

Darani and the Tilleke & Gibbins IP litigation team have had tremendous success in obtaining injunctive relief for clients in Thailand. Although Thai courts have traditionally been quite conservative in granting such measures, Tilleke & Gibbins’ litigators have been successful in obtaining preliminary injunctions, Anton Piller Orders, and permanent injunctions for clients in trademark, patent, and trade secret disputes. These forms of injunctive relief have led to wins and favorable settlements in several cases, often involving multijurisdictional disputes. Darani will share her experiences and best practices on this topic during the conference.

For more information about the conference, please visit the AIPA 2012 website.
