International Financial Law Review (IFLR) has released the final installment of the 2023 edition of its annual IFLR1000 rankings of leading law firms in domestic and cross-border financial and transactional matters across the globe. The June 2022 issue of Asian Legal Business (ALB) includes their Top 15 Female Lawyers feature—an annual list of the leading women in legal practice across Asia. Included in the list is Tilleke & Gibbins managing partner Darani Vachanavuttivong, who is also managing director of the firm’s intellectual property department. She is the only lawyer from Thailand to be named to this year’s list. Directly following the announcement of the Top 15 Female Lawyers in the magazine is a roundtable article titled “Women Leaders Forge a New Path.” This article features insights and opinions from leaders at law firm throughout Asia, including extensive quotes from Darani and her fellow managing partner, Tiziana Sucharitkul. Tilleke & Gibbins has been named the Medical and Healthcare Law Firm of the Year at the Asian Legal Business (ALB) SE Asia Law Awards 2022. Announced at a ceremony in Singapore on May 25, the awards recognize the top legal service providers in Southeast Asia over the past year. The Medical and Healthcare Law Firm of the Year award recognizes the superior work and results that Tilleke & Gibbins’ clients have achieved by working with the firm’s life sciences experts in the past year. The tight regional integration of Tilleke & Gibbins’ offices—and the life sciences team in particular—also contributed to Tilleke & Gibbins’ selection for this regional award. Tilleke & Gibbins also won two other honors in the ALB SE Asia Law Awards 2022: Regional Intellectual Property Law Firm of the Year, and Thailand Law Firm of the Year. The wins in the Medical & Healthcare and Thailand Law Firm of the Year categories are first-time victories for Tilleke & Gibbins at the annual ALB SE Asia Law Awards ceremony, while the win in the Regional IP Firm of the Year category marks the second victory for the firm in three years.
