Chusert Supasitthumrong to Speak on Labor Law at Ayutthaya Hi-Tech Industrial Estate

On May 30, 2019, Chusert Supasitthumrong, a partner in Tilleke & Gibbins’ dispute resolution and litigation group and head of the firm’s contentious employment practice, will provide a training session at the Ayutthaya Hi-Tech Industrial Estate under the topic “Labor Law: Legal Termination.”

Termination of employment is one of the most prominent issues faced by manufacturers and business owners in Thailand, in part due to Thailand’s unusually robust labor and employment laws that often expose employers to litigation based on allegations of wrongful termination. In this seminar, Thai business owners in the industrial estate have a good opportunity to learn from Chusert’s expertise with labor disputes to avoid the pitfalls of wrongful termination. Chusert’s presentation will focus on the definition of legal termination, a comparison of termination and resignation under the law and in practice, and the complexities of unfair termination under Thai law. The presentation will be supported by case studies, providing real-life illustrations of the concepts and practices discussed.

The half-day session will be held from 9 am onwards and will be conducted in Thai language.
