Chusert Supasitthumrong to Present on Labor Issues During Crises

Irving Seminar & Training

The 2011 floods in Thailand were devastating for both Thai citizens and companies. Operational unpredictability, work stoppages, and recovery were just some of the many uncertainties faced by businesses affected by the disaster. In the midst of this uncertainty, many companies needed to deal with challenging labor and employment issues under Thai law.

Building on lessons learned during this and other crises, Chusert Supasitthumrong, Attorney-at-Law with Tilleke & Gibbins, will give a presentation for employers on the topic, “Circumstances of Crisis under Labor Law.” This presentation will be part of a larger seminar, “Practical Labor Law Issues in Period of Crisis,” organized by Irving Seminar & Training on May 24 at the Pathumwan Princess Hotel in Bangkok. Chusert will present on three critical labor topics that arise during crises:

  • Temporary closure of business due to extraordinary events
  • Termination of employment due to economic constraints
  • Change of work location
