Acted as lead counsel for Nordic Transport Group A/S (NTG), an international freight forwarding company based in Denmark, in its acquisition of a stake in Asia-based Freightzen Logistics Ltd., Inc. through a newly established subsidiary, NTG APAC Holding Pte. Ltd.
Tilleke & Gibbins’ cross-border team for this matter, led by Charupat Boon-Long, Paul Westover, and Tuyen An Thuy Nguyen, assisted NTG throughout the transaction, including advising on overall deal strategy and structuring, conducting due diligence on the targets in Thailand and Vietnam, an executing the transaction documents. The deal was signed on July 19, 2024.
Prior to the acquisition, NTG’s Asia operations were based in China, Hong Kong, and Japan, while Freightzen served as its partner in Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The combination of the companies, each successful in their respective markets, will usher in a new era of growth and potential for NTG in the Asia-Pacific region.
