Open file numbers for new cases and prepare physical files in accordance with established procedures.
Operate the barcode system for file management, including recording file borrowing and returning, and arranging, sorting, and locating physical files in accordance with procedures.
Docket and update information and case details in the firm’s internal programs upon receipt of information or instructions from clients, updates from IP agents, or requests from lawyers.
Enter and update deadlines and reminders for cases accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with regulations and client or lawyer requests.
Scan documents, update the system, and set relevant deadlines or reminders in accordance with procedures.
Update databases and records upon receipt of client guidelines or instructions, while maintaining the confidentiality of client and case information.
Generate docket reports as requested by clients and lawyers.
Perform tasks required by the Records Section to support its daily work.
Provide assistance as needed on projects involving the firm’s operations.
Work closely with the IP team to support its daily work.
Provide assistance to the Billing team when needed.
Perform other assignments from Management from time to time.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in any field; majoring in English is an advantage.
