Yuwadee Thean-ngarm Speaks at TBAM “Myanmar Update” Event

On May 23, 2018, Yuwadee Thean-ngarm, director of Tilleke & Gibbins’ Yangon office, will speak at an event organized by the Thai Business Association of Myanmar (TBAM) at the Royal Thai Embassy, Yangon.

The event, entitled “Myanmar Update #4”, will be opened by H.E. Mr. Jukr Boon-long, Thailand’s Ambassador to Myanmar, followed by updates on the new Companies Law from the Deputy Director General of Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, and an update on Myanmar labour law from a Senior Legal Officer at the International Labour Organization. Yuwadee will then present a practical summary of the new Companies Law, supported by real-life examples from her own experience.

At the invitation of the Vietnam’s Ministry of Justice, Dr. Vinh Quoc Nguyen, a partner in Tilleke & Gibbins’ Ho Chi Minh City office, will speak at a special seminar for lawyers and trainees on June 29 in Hanoi. The seminar, organized by the Hanoi Bar Association and focusing on international trade in the context of Vietnam’s international commitments, will take place at the Central Guesthouse at 8 Chu Van An from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lawyers in attendance can receive credit for compulsory professional training.
