Yuwadee Thean-ngarm to Present on Investment Law in Myanmar at TBAM Event

Yuwadee Thean-ngarm, a consultant in Tilleke & Gibbins’ Yangon office, will present at a seminar named, “Myanmar Update,” hosted by the Thai Business Association of Myanmar (TBAM). The seminar will focus on the latest developments to affect labor, tax, land, and trademark laws, and particularly, how these issues will impact investors. Yuwadee will speak on the topic, “Insider’s Guide to Doing Business in Myanmar – A Legal Perspective,” and she will discuss the following subjects in detail:

  • Evaluating land use options and the importance of land due diligence
  • Important considerations in company formation procedures
  • The intellectual property regime in Myanmar
  • Update on Myanmar’s Media Law, Electricity Law, Myanmar Coastal and Inland Water Transport Operating Law, Consumer Protection Law, and Competition Law
