Wongrat Ratanaprayul to Speak on IPR Infringement and Protection at Italian Cultural Institute

EU South-East Asia IPR SME Helpdesk

On April 5, 2018, Wongrat Ratanaprayul, the director of Tilleke & Gibbins’ Indonesia office, will be joining Valentina Salmoiraghi, an IP business advisor at the EU South-East Asia IPR SME Helpdesk, in presenting a seminar entitled “IPR Infringement and Protection in Indonesia” at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Jakarta.

Their presentation will provide an overview of the IP landscape in SEA and its importance in business, before delving deeper into patents and trade secrets, brands, trademarks, industrial designs, and copyright, as well as the current legal issues affecting them in Indonesia. The presentation will culminate in a run-down of things to watch out for to prevent and identify IP infringement, and some examples of how to enforce your rights, supported by recent case studies.

The event is co-hosted by the EU South-East Asia IPR SME Helpdesk, an organization that supports EU small medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to both protect and enforce their IP rights in or relating to SEA countries; and the Italian Business Association of Indonesia (IBAI), a non-profit, voluntary association, providing a business forum for Italian and Indonesian Companies and Individuals in Indonesia. To find out more about the event, and to purchase tickets, please visit the IBAI website.
