Webinar: Class Actions in Thailand: A Look Back at the Law, a Look Ahead at Potential Trends

On December 13, Eric M. Meyer, consultant, and Suruswadee Jaimsuwan, counsel, both from the firm’s dispute resolution department in Bangkok, teamed up in a webinar titled, “Class Actions in Thailand: A Look Back at the Law, a Look Ahead at Potential Trends.”

Hosted by the Legal Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand, Suruswadee and other speakers discussed:

  • An overview of Thailand’s class action law and the types of cases that have been filed since its enactment;
  • Local and global trends in class actions; and
  • How these trends could potentially appear in Thailand.

On March 4, Tilleke & Gibbins arbitration specialists Noppramart Thammateeradaycho and Thawat Damsa-ard collaborated with Clyde & Co Clasis Singapore to deliver an international webinar entitled “Enforcing Foreign Arbitral Awards in Thailand and Setting Aside Awards in Singapore.” During the session, Noppramart and Thawat provided a comprehensive summary of enforcing foreign arbitral awards in Thailand.
