Vinh Quoc Nguyen to Present on Vietnam’s New Land Law and Its Impact on Foreign Developers

Dr. Vinh Quoc Nguyen, a senior attorney-at-law at Tilleke & Gibbins, will discuss Vietnam’s new Land Law and its potential impact on foreign developers at an AmCham Business Luncheon in Ho Chi Minh City on June 19, 2014.

The National Assembly of Vietnam ratified a new Land Law on November 29, 2013, which will come into force on July 1, 2014. At this event, Vinh will briefly discuss the trends of the new Land Law, the major changes it will usher in, and how these changes will affect foreign developers. The topics will include:

  • New forms of land acquisition
  • New conditions for obtaining land
  • New ways for the government to price the land by the government
  • New favorable conditions for residential developers
