Over the past year, the Thai government has promulgated a number of laws and regulations aimed at equipping companies with the necessary tools to conduct business in an increasingly technology-centric world.

On June 10, Yuwadee Thean-ngarm, director of Tilleke & Gibbins’ Yangon office and secretary-general of the Thai Business Association of Myanmar (TBAM), and Nada Songsasen, consultant, will join TBAM’s Myanmar Update #6: COVID-19 to discuss recent developments in the jurisdiction during the pandemic.

On May 6, 2020, Athistha Chitranukroh, partner and director of Tilleke & Gibbins’ corporate and commercial group, participated in a panel discussion on the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), organized by the NIA Academy of Thailand’s National Innovation Agency (NIA). The panel session focused on the reach of the new law, which was passed nearly a year ago and is expected to take effect at the end of May, 2020.
