Ecopark’s Landmark Agreement with Kempinski for First Luxury Hotel Project in Vietnam

Tilleke & Gibbins is proud to have assisted Hai Dung Company Limited, a subsidiary under the founder of Vietnamese real estate developer Ecopark Corporation, with legal aspects of its cooperation agreement with Kempinski Hotels, Europe’s oldest luxury hotel company, for Kempinski’s first foray into the Vietnamese market.

Hai Dung and Kempinski will work together to build and operate a high-end riverfront resort on the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City in rapidly developing Dong Nai province. Kempinski Saigon River, set to open in 2026, was designed by renowned architectural firm Kengo Kuma & Associates, and will be reachable from downtown Ho Chi Minh City by a 45-minute speedboat ride.

Founded in 2003, Ecopark Corporation stands as a leading developer of eco-friendly real estate solutions in Vietnam, boasting an impressive portfolio of luxury hotels and acclaimed residential projects.

Leading the legal advisory team for this transformative project is Tilleke & Gibbins’ partner Long Gia Nguyen, based in Ho Chi Minh City. With a wealth of expertise in real estate and hospitality, Long has played a pivotal role in advising numerous successful 5-star hotel and resort ventures in Vietnam and throughout Southeast Asia.
