Tilleke & Gibbins Textile Collection – Curator’s Walk and Talk

Wipawee Tiyaws, curator of Tilleke & Gibbins’ Textile Collection, will be giving a guided tour of exhibited pieces from the collection on Tuesday, April 24, in collaboration with the Thai Textile Society.

Tilleke & Gibbins’ Textile Collection is one of the largest and most impressive in Thailand, containing over 2,000 museum-quality Southeast Asian textiles, representing the diverse cultures of Southeast Asia. A number of pieces are exhibited on the walls of the firm’s head office in Bangkok, with the demonstration pieces rotating regularly to make hidden treasures available to viewers. Following the most recent rotation, Tilleke & Gibbins is making the newly displayed pieces available for viewing by members and friends of the Thai Textile Society, with a guided tour through the halls and office chambers to explain each hanging piece. This is an opportunity not to be missed.

Tickets for the tour, which begins at 10 am, are available for THB 200 to members of the Thai Textile Society, and THB 300 for non-members. Please contact [email protected] to reserve a place, or for more information.
