Tilleke & Gibbins Takes “Unreal” Anti-Counterfeit Campaign to HCMC

On Saturday, April 20, in anticipation of World Intellectual Property Day on April 26, Tilleke & Gibbins and the International Trademark Association (INTA) are organizing a student outreach event at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law (ULaw) as part of INTA’s Unreal Campaign.

The Unreal Campaign is a global public awareness initiative designed to educate young people about the importance of trademarks and intellectual property, and the risks and dangers of using counterfeit products. Tilleke & Gibbins is proud to be a sponsor of the campaign, which also boasts corporate sponsorship from Amazon, Google, eBay, and Gucci, among others. Since its launch in 2012, the Unreal Campaign has reached nearly 40,000 students on six continents. Thus far in 2019, Unreal events have been staged in the U.S., Turkey, Nigeria, and France, as well as Myanmar and Thailand—both co-organized by Tilleke & Gibbins.

The Ho Chi Minh City event will feature speakers from INTA, ULaw, and Tilleke & Gibbins, along with hands-on exhibits and participatory games to educate students about intellectual property and counterfeit goods. Students will also have an opportunity to speak directly with Tilleke & Gibbins lawyers about pursuing a career in law.
