Tilleke & Gibbins Sponsors Law Student Competition in Hanoi

Law Consultant Club of the Foreign Trade University of Hanoi

As part of our ongoing efforts to encourage the study of law in Vietnam, Tilleke & Gibbins served as the “Gold Sponsor” of the Soul of Law 2015 contest, a competition for law students organized by the Law Consultant Club of the Foreign Trade University of Hanoi. This year’s event, which had the theme “Enterprise Law,” attracted the interest of 500 students from nine universities.

Over the course of a month, the students competed in a battery of challenges that pared the initial field down to just nine contestants. On the evening of May 17, the finalists faced off on stage in a decisive battle of legal knowledge, with the team “HT & Partners,” made up of students from the Foreign Trade University, the University of Commerce, and the Hanoi Law University, emerging victorious.

Thomas J. Treutler, partner and managing director of Tilleke & Gibbins in Vietnam, served as a judge for the final round, and had the honor of presenting the prize to the winning team.
