Tilleke & Gibbins Shortlisted for Four Indonesian Law Awards 2020

Thomson Reuters publication Asian Legal Business  (ALB ) has announced its shortlist for the Indonesian Law Awards 2020, and Tilleke & Gibbins’ office in Jakarta has received four nominations. Three of these are in firm-wide categories: 

  • Innovative Technologies Firm of the Year
  • Intellectual Property Firm of the Year
  • Medical and Healthcare Firm of the Year

This is the fifth consecutive year that Tilleke & Gibbins has been nominated for Intellectual Property Firm of the Year and the third consecutive year for Medical and Healthcare Firm of the Year. Innovative Technologies Firm of the Year is a new category in 2020.

In addition, Wongrat Ratanaprayul, director of Tilleke & Gibbins in Indonesia, has been shortlisted for Young Lawyer of the Year. In addition to leading the firm’s office in Jakarta, Wongrat is an accomplished and sought-after patent practitioner, especially in the biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, automotive, electronics, and computer-related technology fields.

On November 10, 2021, Tilleke & Gibbins was awarded a CSR Recognition at the 2021 AMCHAM CSR Excellence Awards, hosted online by the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) in Thailand. This is the second consecutive year that the firm was recognized at these awards, which celebrate companies in Thailand with sustainable business practices such as good governance, social responsibility, business integrity, stakeholder engagement, and demonstrated delivery of positive impacts on the society and environment. The awards bring together AMCHAM member companies each year to highlight exceptional corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects by American and Thai companies, with the aim of encouraging businesses to recognize the value of giving back to the community. This year, winning companies received a certificate marking the recognition, along with congratulatory letters from the chargé d’affaires of the U.S. Embassy and the president of AMCHAM Thailand. Tiziana Sucharitkul, co-managing partner and director of the firm’s dispute resolution practice, was named the winner in the Managing Partner of the Year (Emerging Markets) category of the 2021 Asian Legal Business (ALB) Southeast Asia Law Awards.
