Tilleke & Gibbins Receives Seven Top-Tier Rankings in Asia IP Trademark Survey 2019

The Asia IP  Trademark Survey 2019 has recognized Tilleke & Gibbins for its market-leading trademark work with rankings across all six of its jurisdictions in three categories, including seven “Tier 1” rankings:

Asia IP  is a Hong Kong-based legal magazine that provides coverage of IP developments in the region, and their annual trademark rankings provide an overview of the preeminent trademark practices across the Asia-Pacific region.

On World IP Day, Managing IP magazine published the 2023 edition of its annual “Top 250 Women in IP” list, a publication recognizing the most accomplished female private practice IP lawyers globally. Tilleke & Gibbins is proud to share that three of its lawyers were included in this prestigious list—Darani Vachanavuttivong, managing partner of Tilleke & Gibbins; Linh Thi Mai Nguyen, a partner in the firm’s Hanoi office, and Wongrat Ratanaprayul, head of the firm’s office in Indonesia. This is the fifth year since 2016 that Darani has been recognized by the publication, the fourth consecutive year for Linh, and the first year for Wongrat. Each is the only practitioner listed for her jurisdiction. Managing IP’s annual “Top 250 Women in IP” list celebrates female IP practitioners in private practice who have performed exceptionally well for their clients and firms in the past year. Four Tilleke & Gibbins lawyers have been named in this year’s Global Leaders list from Intellectual Asset Management (IAM). The list recognizes the world’s most outstanding private practice experts in patent law. Alan Adcock, Darani Vachanavuttivong, and Nandana Indananda have been included in the list for Thailand—three of the four individuals listed for Thailand—while Thomas Treutler is recognized for Vietnam. To qualify for this prestigious honor, individuals must rank in the gold tier of the IAM Patent 1000, a highly respected annual directory that identifies the top law and attorney firms and individuals in the world’s most significant patent jurisdictions. The selection process involves a comprehensive four-month research process carried out by a full-time research team that gathers hundreds of written submissions from firms, conducts face-to-face and telephone interviews, and corresponds with patent lawyers, attorneys, and their clients. Tilleke & Gibbins has been shortlisted for three firmwide awards and one individual award in the ninth annual Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific Awards. These awards recognize the leading litigators and most impactful disputes in the region based on submissions for the latest edition of Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific. The firm has been shortlisted for Intellectual Property Firm of the Year, Thailand Firm of the Year, and Vietnam Firm of the Year. In addition, Suebsiri Taweepon, a partner in Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property group in Bangkok, has been shortlisted for Thailand Lawyer of the Year, for his outstanding performance in the past year, securing remarkable results for his clients. Asian Legal Business has released its 2023 “Employer of Choice” awards, and Tilleke & Gibbins has once again been recognized as a top employer in the legal industry in both Thailand and Vietnam. This is the 11th year in a row that the firm has been named Employer of Choice in Thailand, and the ninth time for Tilleke & Gibbins in Vietnam.
