Tilleke & Gibbins Ranked Tier 1 for Vietnam in ALB IP Rankings

Tilleke & Gibbins has been named as a Tier 1 firm in Vietnam for Patent and Copyright/Trademark work in the 2019 IP Rankings issue of Asian Legal Business  (ALB ). This accolade highlights Tilleke & Gibbins as one of the top three firms in Vietnam for intellectual property work, in addition to similar rankings received in Indonesia and Thailand.

ALB  ‘s annual IP Rankings, published by Thomson Reuters, provide a high level overview of the region’s best intellectual property practices, ranked by Patent and Copyright/Trademark work. The rankings are based on each firm’s visibility and profile in the region, the volume, complexity and size of work undertaken, key personnel hires and growth of the practice group, and key clients. The information is assessed through an in-depth market survey including feedback from clients and other industry professionals.

Thailand will become the 99th member of the Madrid Protocol when this system comes into effect in the country on November 7, 2017. The Madrid System will allow trademark owners in Thailand to file a single international application designating other members under the Protocol, as well as enabling other member states’ trademark owners to designate Thailand to seek protection here.
