Tilleke & Gibbins Offices Shine in the WTR 1000 Rankings for 2020

World Trademark Review

World Trademark Review  has released the 2020 edition of WTR 1000, its guide to the leading trademark lawyers around the world, and the guide once again confirms Tilleke & Gibbins’ position as the top firm for intellectual property in the Southeast Asian region. In this year’s table, the firm’s offices in Thailand and Vietnam have retained their top-tier Gold Band rankings, while the Indonesia office achieved a Silver Band ranking for Prosecution and Strategy and a Recommended Band ranking for Enforcement and Litigation. This also marked the first year that WTR 1000  included rankings for practices in Myanmar, where the Tilleke & Gibbins office in Yangon was listed in the Recommended Band—the top tier currently available in the jurisdiction. WTR 1000  does not currently rank legal practitioners in Cambodia and Laos, the other two jurisdictions in with Tilleke & Gibbins has offices.

The rankings in the WTR 1000  research directory are based on in-depth qualitative research to identify key firms and individuals who are leading the way in their trademark-related legal practice. Depth of expertise, positioning in the market, level of activity, and peer and client feedback are all all taken into account in determining the rankings.

Tilleke & Gibbins is pleased to announce that Darani Vachanavuttivong and Wongrat Ratanaprayul have been recognized in Managing IP’s Top 250 Women in IP 2024. This recognition highlights the significant contributions these individuals have made to the field of intellectual property law. Darani Vachanavuttivong is noted as the sole recognized lawyer from Thailand, and this is the sixth year since 2016 that Darani has been recognized by the publication. In Indonesia, Wongrat Ratanaprayul is one of only three distinguished lawyers to be included in the Top 250 Women in IP 2024. Managing IP’s annual “Top 250 Women in IP” list celebrates female IP practitioners in private practice who have performed exceptionally well for their clients and firms in the past year. The final list of ranked individuals was determined after a thorough review of submissions provided for the list’s sister publication, IP Stars, and the Managing IP Awards. Seven Tilleke & Gibbins attorneys in Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam have been included in the IP STARS 2024 individual rankings from Managing IP.
