Tilleke & Gibbins Lawyers Recognized in IP Stars 2021 Rankings from MIP

Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) has released its IP Stars 2021 individual rankings, with eight Tilleke & Gibbins lawyers in three Southeast Asian jurisdictions included in the list. The rankings, which spotlight the world’s best practitioners working in the fields of patents and trademarks, are selected based on client and peer recommendations in each jurisdiction, with the most commended practitioners being listed in the final results of the annual survey.

In terms of the number of ranked individuals, Tilleke & Gibbins leads the way in both Thailand and Vietnam with four and three rankings, respectively. The group of recognized practitioners is divided into “Patent Stars” and “Trademark Stars,” with many lawyers identified in both categories.

On World IP Day, Managing IP magazine published the 2023 edition of its annual “Top 250 Women in IP” list, a publication recognizing the most accomplished female private practice IP lawyers globally. Tilleke & Gibbins is proud to share that three of its lawyers were included in this prestigious list—Darani Vachanavuttivong, managing partner of Tilleke & Gibbins; Linh Thi Mai Nguyen, a partner in the firm’s Hanoi office, and Wongrat Ratanaprayul, head of the firm’s office in Indonesia. Four Tilleke & Gibbins lawyers have been named in this year’s Global Leaders list from Intellectual Asset Management (IAM). The list recognizes the world’s most outstanding private practice experts in patent law. Alan Adcock, Darani Vachanavuttivong, and Nandana Indananda have been included in the list for Thailand—three of the four individuals listed for Thailand—while Thomas Treutler is recognized for Vietnam. To qualify for this prestigious honor, individuals must rank in the gold tier of the IAM Patent 1000, a highly respected annual directory that identifies the top law and attorney firms and individuals in the world’s most significant patent jurisdictions. Tilleke & Gibbins has been shortlisted for three firmwide awards and one individual award in the ninth annual Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific Awards. These awards recognize the leading litigators and most impactful disputes in the region based on submissions for the latest edition of Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific. Asian Legal Business has released its 2023 “Employer of Choice” awards, and Tilleke & Gibbins has once again been recognized as a top employer in the legal industry in both Thailand and Vietnam. This is the 11th year in a row that the firm has been named Employer of Choice in Thailand, and the ninth time for Tilleke & Gibbins in Vietnam.
