Chambers Asia-Pacific

Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property practice in Vietnam was given a “Band 1” ranking by Chambers Asia-Pacific 2017, a distinction bestowed on only four firms in the country. The highly regarded Chambers  rankings are published annually and are the result of industry research and interviews conducted by more than 170 editors and researchers.

The editorial section of the rankings described Tilleke & Gibbins as a “standout IP firm with a significant capacity for the prosecution and enforcement of patents, industrial designs and trade marks.” Additionally, it cited strong positive comments garnered from client interviews, with one client lauding the firm’s “good communication and high-quality work” and another advising, “With serious IP disputes or website issues, go to Tilleke. They have real depth in that area.”

Thomas J. Treutler, managing partner of Tilleke & Gibbins’ Vietnam offices, and Loc Xuan Le, head of IP enforcement in Hanoi, were both highlighted as notable practitioners, with Loc called a “strong enforcement lawyer” who is “well regarded for his ability to handle patent litigation and anti-counterfeiting matters.”

More information on the rankings may be found on the Chambers Asia-Pacific website.
