Tilleke & Gibbins IP Attorneys Participate in EABC Seminar

The European- ASEAN Business Center (EABC) today collaborated with Thailand’s Department of Intellectual Property to organize a seminar focusing on the importance of intellectual property rights. The “Developing Your Business with IPRs” seminar, held at the Sofitel Sukhumvit, was attended by over 100 participants who were seeking to learn more about how best to maximize the value of intellectual assets within their companies.

Nandana Indananda, a partner in the Tilleke & Gibbins IP group, moderated the “IPR Enforcement: Challenges and Success for the Public and Private Sectors” panel at the event. The panel included speakers from the police, customs, the IP&IT Court, and leading companies.

In addition, Suebsiri Taweepon and Areeya Pornwiriyangkura, attorneys-at-law at Tilleke & Gibbins, each made presentations on IP commercialization issues. Suebsiri examined digital marketing and software protection, while Areeya discussed the important considerations when licensing IP.
