Tilleke & Gibbins and NIA to Hold Seminar on Intellectual Property Licensing and Commercialization

On May 25, Tilleke & Gibbins and the National Innovation Agency will hold a seminar on “IP Licensing and Commercialization.” The first presentation, “Utilizing IP Licenses to Develop Innovative Business,” will be conducted by Siraprapha Rungpry, a consultant in the Tilleke & Gibbins IP team. The presentation will introduce the process of leveraging on IP assets and licenses to create and maintain business innovation. It will also cover licensing from universities and research institutes, and the availability of government funding to facilitate IP licenses. The second presentation, “IP License Negotiation and Contract,” by Areeya Pornwiriyangkura, an attorney-at-law at Tilleke & Gibbins, will cover key considerations and particulars to look for in a licensing agreement, and provide an overview of how to assess the intellectual assets involved in a business transaction.
