Tilleke & Gibbins is proud to announce the additions of Ms. Annika Svanberg and Ms. Yen Thi Vu to our Intellectual Property Group, adding further strength to a team that was recently named “Intellectual Property Firm of the Year” for Vietnam by Managing Intellectual Property.

Annika joins Tilleke & Gibbins as an IP associate in the firm’s Ho Chi Minh City office, effective October 1. Annika, a native of Sweden, was an associate in the Stockholm office of leading international IP law firm Bird & Bird before joining Tilleke & Gibbins. She earned an LL.M. through study in Sweden and Canada.

On September 17, the firm gave its Patent Group in Hanoi a boost with the addition of Yen Thi Vu, who joins Tilleke & Gibbins from local IP law firm Investip, where she handled patent and design prosecution matters in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar. Yen holds a B.S. in Biochemistry and is a qualified IP Agent with the National Office of Intellectual Property.

“We’re delighted to add Annika and Yen to our team,” said Thomas J. Treutler, Partner and Managing Director of the firm’s Vietnam offices. “With Annika, we add a lawyer with significant foreign experience at one of the world’s top IP firms, and Yen gives us another science-savvy, client-focused patent executive with experience throughout Southeast Asia.”
