Siradapat Ratanakorn Featured in Just-Food Article on Packaged Food in Thailand

Just-Food

Siradapat Ratanakorn, a food technologist and a consultant in Tilleke & Gibbins’ regulatory affairs group, was featured in an article titled “Packaged Food in Thailand – Impulse and Health to Drive Premium Segments,” by Just-Food. The article discusses the drive in demand for premium products in Thailand.

According to Siradapat, growth in demand for more premium products has resulted in certain food companies misusing “premium” labeling, which has forced the Thai ministry of public health to implement additional controls. “If a food company wishes to claim ‘premium’ on a food label, it needs permission from the Food and Drug Agency, who decides these requests on a case-by-case basis,” Siradapat said.
