Seminar for Healthcare Companies: Preparing for the ASEAN Economic Community

The ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), which will come into effect in 2015, will integrate the region’s economies and create a single market of 600 million consumers. All industries are bracing for this change, but the competitive landscape is transforming even more quickly in the healthcare sector. Regional harmonization has already commenced for the cosmetics industry, while further integration is imminent for other industries and products, such as medical devices.

As the business landscape continues to shift, Pacific Healthcare and Tilleke & Gibbins are organizing a free seminar on how companies should start to prepare for AEC integration. Designed specifically for companies in the healthcare sector—including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, functional foods, supplements, and related products—this Thai-language seminar on June 19, 2012, will discuss:

  • Healthcare product registration in ASEAN
  • Healthcare product rollout in ASEAN
  • Intellectual property registration in ASEAN
  • Licensing and contracts in ASEAN

The seminar will feature presentations from Adjchara Limpattanasiri and Siwaporn Narathip of Pacific Healthcare, and Somboon Earterasarun and Areeya Pornwiriyangkura of Tilleke & Gibbins.
