Securing Digital Privacy in a Global Surveillance State: Presentation at RSA Conference 2017

RSA Conference 2017 Asia Pacific and Japan

Jeffrey J. Blatt, of counsel in Tilleke & Gibbins’ corporate and commercial group and head of the firm’s technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) practice, will make a presentation on “In Tech We Trust: Securing Digital Privacy in a Global Surveillance State” at the RSA Conference 2017 Asia Pacific and Japan.

Jeffrey, a seasoned TMT practitioner with more than 35 years of experience representing leading technology companies in Asia and the United States, will be sharing his insights on increasing attempts by governments around the world to compel access to data in any network and device regardless of local law. He will also be discussing how several technology companies are responding to this trend by intervening to safeguard users’ data privacy rights.

Athistha (Nop) Chitranukroh, partner in Tilleke & Gibbins’ corporate and commercial group and co-head of the firm’s technology practice, recently joined a panel under the topic of “Lawyers and Digital Asset Laws” at the Thai FinTech Association (TFTA) Forum #4: Digital Asset Talks in Bangkok.During the panel, Athistha was quoted by the TFTA, a technology startup accelerator chaired by Korn Chatikavanij, the former finance minister of Thailand, and comprised of over 100 members from the public and private sectors.
