Thailand is one of the top tourist destinations in the world and it has proven to be a popular place for expatriates to live and work. But as expat communities grow, the number of international family disputes has been increasing too. In this presentation, Sasirusm (Roll) Chunhakasikarn will review Thailand’s Family Court procedures, with special regard to issues relating to international disputes. In particular, the presentation will include an examination of:
- International divorces
- Case studies of how a variety of family disputes can be resolved in the Thai system
- The new draft law on child abduction and its implications for international families
