Pimvimol (June) Vipamaneerut, a partner in Tilleke & Gibbins’ corporate and commercial group, will speak at the “10th Annual Employment Law Asia Congress – Understanding Your Legal Risks and Rights Across 15 Countries,” a conference hosted by HRM Asia. June will speak on the topic, “Employment Law in Thailand: Update on Legal Framework and Best Practices,” and in particular, she will cover the following main topics, among other subjects:

  • Employment laws including the Labor Protection Act, Labor Relations Act, Social Security Act, Workmen’s Compensation Act, Provident Fund Act, and Alien Employment Act
  • Employment of labor including normal working hours, rest periods, holidays, leave, and work rules and regulations
  • Types of employment contracts requirements such as fairness
  • Termination with and without cause and severance pay

June will also take part in a legal clinic to provide free consultation in a roundtable setting. She will answer questions related to Thailand.

The conference will take place at the Hilton Singapore hotel over two days from June 21 to 22. June’s presentation will be held on June 21 from 12 noon to 12.45 p.m. The legal clinic will start at 5 p.m. and finish at 5.30 p.m. on June 22.
