The finalists of The Asian Lawyer’s second annual Emerging Markets Awards have been announced, and Darani Vachanavuttivong, co-managing partner and managing director of Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property department, has been nominated for the “Intellectual Property Lawyer of the Year” award. The list of finalists was determined after weeks of deliberation by the magazine’s judges, who considered lawyers’ capabilities and work handled, as well as client feedback. Only four other lawyers from across Southeast Asia and India were nominated for this award.

Tilleke & Gibbins has been nominated as a finalist in Asian Legal Business’s Indonesia Law Awards for the Intellectual Property Law Firm of the Year award. The following criteria are being considered to determine the winner of the award:

The South-East Asia IPR SME Helpdesk, a European Commission project to support European Union businesses to protect and enforce their intellectual property rights in Southeast Asia, will host a webinar on the topic “IPR Protection Strategies for EU SMEs from the Services Sector in Thailand.” Suebsiri Taweepon, an attorney-at-law in Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property group and the South-East Asia IPR SME Helpdesk Expert, will discuss this topic, focusing on IP issues most relevant to European SMEs from the service sector and covering the following subjects:

Tilleke & Gibbins has been shortlisted in four categories in the Euromoney Legal Media Group Asia Women in Business Law Awards 2015.
