He also has significant experience advising on the defense and coverage of claims across all lines of business, including property, energy, construction, product liability, directors’ and officers’ liability, and casualty.

Thomas J. Treutler, managing director of Tilleke & Gibbins’ Vietnam offices, was interviewed by Managing Intellectual Property  for the magazine’s feature “The ABC of the TPP,” a country-by-country look at how the IP provisions of the Trans-Pacific Partnership will affect each of its signatories.

The International Trademark Association (INTA) and Vietnam’s Inspectorate of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) recently hosted a seminar on “The Protection of Famous and Well-Known Trademarks – The Actual Situation and Toward Solutions” in Hanoi. The seminar also served to launch the Well-Known Trademarks Project, an INTA-MOST project meant to build links for cooperation between government and the private sectors.

Attorneys Linh Thi Mai Nguyen and Loc Xuan Le will teach a course on “Lawyering Skills in Intellectual Property Dispute Resolution” as part of the Vietnam Bar Federation’s continuing legal education program. The full-day course will be held on Sunday, December 13, at the Judicial Academy in Hanoi. Over 100 lawyers are expected to attend.Linh heads the Tilleke & Gibbins trademark practice in Vietnam, while Loc heads the IP enforcement group of TGVN, Tilleke & Gibbins’ associate firm for local IP filings in Vietnam.
