Nugra Febrian Pramuda to Speak at IP Commercialization Workshop

On October 7, 2019, Nugra Febrian Pramuda, IP coordinator at Tilleke & Gibbins in Indonesia, will speak on intellectual property on the opening day of the Workshop on IP Commercialization for Universities, Technology Parks and Startups. This three-day event is a collaboration between the Indonesian Invention and Innovation Promotion Association (INNOPA) and the Indonesian-Swiss Intellectual Property Project (ISIP). Attendees will include innovators, inventors, students, and startups, as well as INNOPA board members and other IP professionals and experts.

Nugra Febrian Pramuda will present first on the basics of IP—what it is and why it matters—and will then explain how attendees can benefit from their own IP. He will discuss issues such as the requirements for filing patents in Indonesia, different patent-related procedures, and regulations for obtaining and enforcing patents rights in the country. The audience will also benefit greatly from the practical insights and experiences Nugra Febrian Pramuda can offer from his work with Tilleke & Gibbins, which is one of Indonesia’s foremost IP law practices.

Topics on the next two days will include in-depth looks at the nuances of IP commercialization in Indonesia, plus anecdotes and advice from successful entrepreneurs and startup projects.

The workshop is a kickoff for the International Young Inventors Award, which will give young innovators from around the world a chance to exhibit their inventions, prototypes, and mockups.

For more information on the workshop, please contact INNOPA at [email protected].
