Nandana Indananda Joins Faculty of WIPO Thailand Summer School on Intellectual Property

World Intellectual Property Organization, Department of Intellectual Property, and Bangkok University

Nandana Indananda, a partner in Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property (IP) group and a former judge of the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court, has been invited by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to give lectures and coordinate group discussions at its Thailand Summer School on Intellectual Property. The Summer School aims to provide senior students (graduate and post-graduate students) and young professionals with an opportunity to acquire deeper knowledge of IP, to gain an appreciation of IP as a tool for economic, social, cultural and technological development, and to understand the role WIPO plays in the global administration of IP.

The Summer School takes place at Bangkok University International College and runs from May 14 to 23, 2013. On Friday, May 17, 2013, Nandana will lecture on “Trade Secrets: Issues and Best Practices” from 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m., and “Design Protection and its Interface with other IP Areas” from 11.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. On Thursday, May 23, 2013, Nandana will coordinate a group discussion on “Internet and Trademarks” from 9.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m.
