Tilleke & Gibbins was named Firm of the Year for Vietnam at the first-ever Managing Intellectual Property  Asia Awards, held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong on the evening of March 21. The Asia Awards were spun off this year from Managing IP’s  Global Awards, reflecting the growing importance of the Asia-Pacific region in the field of intellectual property.

The 2018 award marks the fifth straight year that Tilleke & Gibbins has been honored by Managing IP  as Vietnam’s top firm. “It is always a great honor to receive this award,” said Thomas J. Treutler, managing director of the firm’s Vietnam offices. “It reflects not only the strength and depth of our team, but also the high quality of the clients that we are able to serve.”

Tilleke & Gibbins took home two additional trophies on the night, winning Firm of the Year for Thailand as well as Asia-Pacific CSR Firm of the Year.

Managing Intellectual Property  is a leading publication in the IP field, known for its highly regarded IP Stars firm rankings, as well as its annual awards, which recognize the top IP firms around the world, based on the results of extensive market research and client and peer interviews.

Alan Adcock and Somboon Earterasarun, partners in Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property (IP) department in Bangkok, are named in the 2023 edition of IAM Strategy 300. Alan, who also leads the firm’s regional life sciences practice, has now been recognized in the annual IAM Strategy 300 list for 13 years, while this is Somboon’s first year on the list. Published by Intellectual Asset Management (IAM), a platform that focuses specifically on IP as a business asset, IAM Strategy 300 aims to identify individuals around the world who lead the way in developing and implementing strategies that maximize the value of IP portfolios.
