Michael Ramirez to Speak at Lex Mundi ACC ILA Webcast on Global Anti-Corruption Laws

Michael Ramirez, who leads the corporate and commercial team in Tilleke & Gibbins’ Myanmar office, will participate as a speaker in a webcast hosted by Lex Mundi and the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC). The webcast, titled “Global Anti-Corruption Laws – The Perils of Doing Business in Asia” and run by the ACC’s International Legal Affairs Committee, will discuss the impact of global anti-corruption laws in Asia, how to manage risk appropriately, and the different regulatory frameworks applicable to in-house counsel. In particular, Michael, who will be joined by one other speaker, will present on the following main subjects:

  • Historical and modern perceptions of corruption in Asia
  • How transparency affects international rates of corruption Asia
  • The effect of international anti-corruption agreements
  • What positive outcomes have resulted from anti-corruption regimes
  • Corruption case studies
