Michael Lee and Vinh Quoc Nguyen to Speak on Employment Issues in Vietnam

Foreign companies doing business in Vietnam often discover that discipline and dismissal of employees can be a difficult process, even in cases of serious wrongdoing, due to the country’s strict labor laws. To avoid these difficulties, having the necessary rules and systems in place is essential.

On May 10, at a seminar organized in conjunction with the American Chamber of Commerce, partner Michael K. Lee and senior attorney-at-law Vinh Quoc Nguyen will share “The ABCs of Internal Labor Rules and Disciplinary Hearings” to guide employers through the following topics:

  • Common issues in drafting internal labor rules
  • The registration process for internal labor rules
  • Best practices for conducting disciplinary hearings
  • Key proposed changes in the latest draft of the new Labor Code

The seminar will be held at the Reverie Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. For more details and registration information, please visit the AmCham website
