This year’s edition of Media, Advertising, and Entertainment Law Throughout the World has been published, and Tilleke & Gibbins has contributed the Thailand and Vietnam chapters of the guide. Thomas J. Treutler, Tu Ngoc Trinh, and Thom Thi Mai Nguyen jointly authored the Vietnam chapter, which covers in detail issues related to media law, advertising law, entertainment law, and art law.

The media law section covers aspects including sources, regulatory framework, defamation, invasion of privacy, and the right of publicity. The section on advertising law is broken down into sources of advertising law, false advertising, and third party trademarks and copyrights in advertising. The entertainment law portion is divided into two headings, being sources and types. Lastly, the art law component delves into sources, relationships, art auctions, and “stolen” artworks.
