The MIP Asia Pacific Awards are a new addition to the Managing Intellectual Property annual event calendar, which this year for the first time has decided to hold separate ceremonies for the Asia-Pacific, EMEA, and the Americas. The awards recognize the top intellectual property practices in each region, based on an intensive research and market feedback program.

The article gives an overview of the existing Copyright Act (1994) and the changes that are being sought to the regime, based on the input of some of Thailand’s leading intellectual property practitioners.
